How to Uninstall WordPress

Uninstalling a WordPress Site​

Uninstalling WordPress will result in the permanent loss of all site data, including backups, databases, media files, plugins, themes, and any related directories. This action cannot be undone. Please take a moment to consider this before proceeding.

  1. Log in to your Bluehost Account Manager.

  2. In the left-hand menu, click Websites.

  4. From the horizontal menu, click the ADVANCED tab. Advanced tab

  5. Navigate to the Site Management section. Locate the Remove WordPress Entirely option. Remove Wordpress Entirely

  6. Then, click the Remove WordPress button.

  7. You will see a pop-up reminding you that removing WordPress will also remove all files associated with this installation. Check the box to acknowledge that you understand this and have any backups needed for this website. WordPress removal confirmation

  8. Click REMOVE WORDPRESS to confirm.

  9. A confirmation message will appear at the top of the screen indicating that your WordPress Installation is being removed.
